Peace Be Upon You...
Alhamdulillah. This year i was able to attend the Sheffield Malaysian Games in the University of Sheffield. The first time to set foot in Sheffield though. I always wanted to discover UK but most of the time i was occupied with lots of commitment may it be educational and personal and the most important thing to think in terms of travelling is money T_T. Well, i feel rejuvated to be able to see lots and lots of Malaysian in one event. U know the feeling when u are away from home and you always long to be with your kind. Actually this event is an annual event but i wasn't able to attend the event last year because i already went to Nottingham Malaysian Games, the biggest Malaysian games in the UK..what i can say about all these events is whole lots of awesomeness in there. Actually, i'm actually not the one who play sport and obviously my motive of joining the games only to be a spectator and supporter to my university football team. Yeah to be honest being outside the field may not bring the best feeling for you but to be able to cheer for your home team feels good even.I cheered so much that i hurt my throat at the end of the day..irony is that eventhough i'm the one who kick nor chase the ball around the field but i'm the one who feel tired compared to those who played effortlessly. Luckily our MARJON team managed to bring back 2 gold medals particularly in the games of 'Batu Seremban' and Badminton for mens double. Worth the voice that i've thrown like crazy to cheer them up hehee.
Overall, event like this has always entices me to come and join but you know, Plymouth is a a bit isolated from other cities in UK. Well, i can say that it took much effort to travel from Plymouth to Sheffiled coz it took us 6 continuous hours on the bus. Really gruesome experience to tell but the excitement to meet and greet each other at an event like this is happiness for me. I was able to meet my newly made friends from Notts backinDecember last year here..MasyaAllah..never thought of that. Its a good thing to know that this kind of event has become kinda pengukuh ukhuwah antara kami..Alhamdulillah. I long to join any Malaysian evnt, not only games but also talks and courses so much but sometimes time and money is not on my side. Its a good thing knowing that we Malaysian in the UK is doing well in our life here, not only in education bit but also spiritual bit...always pray that we will keep this silaturahim close.
