Berkumpul: Sheffield Malaysian Games

Peace Be Upon You...

Alhamdulillah. This year i was able to attend the Sheffield Malaysian Games in the University of Sheffield. The first time to set foot in Sheffield though. I always wanted to discover UK but most of the time i was occupied with lots of commitment may it be educational and personal and the most important thing to think in terms of travelling is money T_T. Well, i feel rejuvated to be able to see lots and lots of Malaysian in one event. U know the feeling when u are away from home and you always long to be with your kind. Actually this event is an annual event but i wasn't able to attend the event last year because i already went to Nottingham Malaysian Games, the biggest Malaysian games in the UK..what i can say about all these events is whole lots of awesomeness in there. Actually, i'm actually not the one who play sport and obviously my motive of joining the games only to be a spectator and supporter to my university football team. Yeah to be honest being outside the field may not bring the best feeling for you but to be able to cheer for your home team feels good even.I cheered so much that i hurt my throat at the end of the day..irony is that eventhough i'm the one who kick nor chase the ball around the field but i'm the one who feel tired compared to those who played effortlessly. Luckily our MARJON team managed to bring back 2 gold medals particularly in the games of 'Batu Seremban' and Badminton for mens double. Worth the voice that i've thrown like crazy to cheer them up hehee.
Overall, event like this has always entices me to come and join but you know, Plymouth is a a bit isolated from other cities in UK. Well, i can say that it took much effort to travel from Plymouth to Sheffiled coz it took  us 6 continuous hours on the bus. Really gruesome experience to tell but the excitement to meet and greet each other at an event like this is happiness for me.  I was able to meet my newly made friends from Notts backinDecember last year here..MasyaAllah..never thought of that. Its a good thing to know that this kind of event has become kinda pengukuh ukhuwah antara kami..Alhamdulillah. I long to join any Malaysian evnt, not only games but also talks and courses so much but sometimes time and money is not on my side. Its a good thing knowing that we Malaysian in the UK is doing well in our life here, not only in education bit but also spiritual bit...always pray that we will keep this silaturahim close.

Our MARJON team..yeah

The one that i really love..the mascot but don't know if its bunny or fox..ermmm

Sun Shine

Peace Be Upon You...

See the sun
I have been on a nine days off class holiday right now. Its called Reading Week here in the University, unlike Malaysia, which it is well known as Study Week where students will be given a week off to prepare themselves for the coming exams. Ironically in my university, the reading week will take place every semester not for preparation to face exam or whatsoever...and for me, luckily i do not have exams at all except for my final year exam that will take place next year, and guess what it's only for one paper. Back to the topic of sunshine, yeah its been quite shiny these days. The sun shining so brightly to the extend that it hurts my eyes but never be duped by the bright light guys coz it is still super cold outside. Pheww,, whenever i glance out the window, i always thought that it might be a warm day today but at the time i stepped outside, ouchhh cold mann...

This is how the students' village look like. Cute isn't it?

Picturesque: Malaga 2012

Peace Be Upon You...

Several Pictures in Malaga, Espana in Winter trip early January 2012. I visited Malaga on the 3rd of January if i'm not mistaken. One of the scenic cities in Spain ( for me laa) with the clear blue sky and not to mention the architecture.

Whichever countries go in Europe they will have the same identical red open top bus for tourist . Just pay the amount of 17 Euro ( in Spain) and u are ready to hop on and hop off the bus for the whole day. For me I choose to use public transport, though it is more complicated but it gives me freedom to roam around the city without having to always glance at my watch. It is extremely more tiring but definitely worth spending energy walking...haipp.

A Failed Chef

Peace Be Upon You...

Don't trust the look, they're just wearing lots of make up T__T
Failed ....again
I am so upset with my performance today...but frankly speaking not only today but always huhuhuu. I was so eager to make red bean bun after browsing through various fantabulous food blog on the net and the I pon apa lagi singsing lengan baju menguli tepung nk buat roti ni. I spent 5 hours waiting for the dough to rise...waiting eagerly. Every 10 minutes, I'll glance at the bun dough to see their development. Bukan main lagi i didn't do any job in particular of doing this bun of my dream wuuuuuhuuu...but it turned out to be really upsetting. Rupa mereka sgt promising but taste wise ermmm. I was jumping inside looking at their good looks in the oven.. Dalamhatinye punyelah ceria sbb wahh cantek sehh roti hamba kali ni. But don't judge a book, in this case these books by their cover. They duped me. Bila keluarkan bun berkenaan dr oven, i tried touching them to only be suprised by their hard rock texture..T___T. HOhohoho. I was like, what happened to my lovely bun, where does it go? It is really an excruciatingly pain  in the ***. The skin really hard sampaikan when i flick them with my nail,it made sounds like " tuk, tuk tuk" just like when u r flicking wood. Yet anyway I am tooo sad to throw them away to the bin..it would be such a waste of effort i spent...again cried T__T.. Lagilah x sampai hati nk bagi dekat org. Sabar jelah tekak saya menelan semua bun2 yg xmesra anak tekak ni. I think this isthe fourth time my bun failed amazingly. Just feel like never doing it again when my cooking failed everytime but i really love to anyway. Yes I am not a good chef, painly admitting the fact T__T..everytime i cooked, it turned out either bad or it taste..ermmm weird hahhaa.. Laugh to myself. But yeahh i'll never giveup. I'll keep trying to cook delicious food for my future family..yeahhh Fighting!!!!

Why u did this to poor me??

Bukan Niat Merosak Bahagia Anda

Peace Be Upon You...

Today I stumbled upon a facebook status of one of my friends, though not really close but still we're friends anyway. Frankly speaking, I was quite shocked reading it. Anyway I won;t be revealing what the exact words he/she wrote on her wall but it somehow sounds like this, " why bother to ruin our happiness when we are planning to build a mosque (rumahtangga)?" Hmm it came to me that this friend of mine missed something important in the term of searching for happiness I guess. For me, a person who frankly do not have in depth knowledge in this thing, I would say that; if we are looking for happiness, the 1st level of happiness is to seek for Allah's love, then u can chase kebahagiaan duniawi. Its not my intention to condemn him/her nor saying that I'm far better than her. NO. I'm not. Even I'm still struggling and learning to improve my bad self and when things like this happens to my friends and people around me, I was sad though. I hope whatever he/she is planning to do in her next phase of life, remember Allah's love is far greater than human's love which is obviously wouldn't last forever. Go for the Eternal. InsyaAllah everything will be fine. (^_^)

Syukur Alhamdulillah

Peace Be Upon You...

I am frequent flyer of Easyjet..but they don't cater trip to Malaysia T_T
Sekejap saje masa berlalu, sedar sedar sudah pon masuk bulan Februari tahun 2012. As a student who is studying far far away from family it is a common thing to be worried when summer is approaching (reality is we here in England is still in winter mode) You know why? Because summer holiday is the time we're waiting for especially me la, the one longed for my family. The fact is I just came here last September after spending my 2011 summer hols in Malaysia for almost 3 months. The things is I feel that I shouldn't be wasting any free moment I have not to be close to my family. I'm afraid that I won't have that last moment if it should be the time for me or any family member of mine to depart from the world to the Eternal world of Allah.

Marking the month of February is when the moment I started to feel the urge to buy the ticket home. I was in a fright situation when i missed promotion made by the airline that previously served me last year and this has made me moody the whole time being until recently.Selepas terlepas promosi tiket murah Emirates utk balik Malaysia saya rasa tersangat sedih sebab satu-satunya peluang utk berjimat sudah terlepas. Sudahlah sekarang ini keadaan kewangan sgt ketat, terasa sangat terduga dgn situasi ini, rasa menyesal pon ada sbb x peduli cari tiket awal2. Lepas tu saya terfikir, what do I do in this situation, I;m near broke and my dreams to go back to Malaysia this coming summer seems a bit thin.

Suddenly a good friend of mine kindly posted a status on her fb wall suggesting to those who haven't buy tickets yet to check out Oman Air as they are holding promotions right now and vrooom i got straight away to the website and Yeahh. Syukur alhamdulillah the promotion is still on and i called up my friends who's planning to go home with me. I managed to book the flights with ease despite all the tension i've been holding before, again Alhamdulillah..(^_^) I was hoping that the price will be so harga runtuh but reality is nothing so cheaplah in this time of the year. Nevermind the price , i bought the ticket anyway. Anyhow this is actually quite a handful cheaper than last year. GBP 511 for return tickets is not bad right But the one thing that bothers me about the airline is the baggage allowance. I was told by a friend that used Oman service last year that they only be allowed to carry 20 kg check in luggage and a standard 7 kg hand-luggage. So whats the tension here u guess. Actually , I'm a person who carry a house with me you can say hehehehe. Last year despite carrying along with me the maximum 30 kg luggage, i exceeded the amount by lifting a near 34kg little elephant with me to the airport but luckily we girls; the six of us checked in together so my excess luggage went to their empty kilos..Alhamdulillah. Not to mention I've already shipped 20 kg worth of food and segala harta karun that i'll need for the year long before my departure. Heeee.

Hearing that Oman Air will only allow 20kg baggage is really not a good news isn't it so what i do is i emailed the booking desk and asked them about my tickets and everything. For 3 days i waited with pounding heart  and yesterday they replied me. MasyaAllah..this is so a happy news of all, they said that i'm allowed to carry a 30 kg baggage woowww..happiness overload lah apa lagi kan. Thanks to Allah for giving me the kemudahan to every bits. Bolehlah saya mengangkut segala perkakasan dapur dan bekalan makanan selama setahun lagi. Despite my big, bulky and absolutely heavy baggage, my mom actually shipped me my amenities from Malaysia like every two month..hehhehe. Nak kata duduk ramai, saya sorang aje yg Malaysia dalam rumah saya sekarang. Saya pon heran kemane cepatnya menghilang segala harta saya tu hiihih...x lain x bukan ke perut saya jgklah kan,...patutlah makin buncit T__T

And from what i heard from my friend Oman Air flight is quite awesome, spacious cabin and comfortable seats and not to forget they cater Halal food on the flight as well, and again, Alhamdulillah yg teramat sgt pd Allah yg memurahkan rezeki saya dan kawan2 saya. I hope this journey will be a wonderful one, as this is my 2nd year so i'll be having another year here which is the most important year for me. I'm so eager to go back home and to attend my friend's wedding in June, InsyaAllah
