In The Mood of Valentine

Assalamualaikum..

Monsoon season in Kampung Plymouth masih belum reda. Because the rain keeps pouring, so most of the time I just be in the house doing nothing, lazying around instead of gobbling anything that I could find the fridge. Since today is so called Valentine's Day for people who believe in it, so I think I might write something related to it. Not many maybe just 2 out of 100 %. Obviously for me Valentines is not something that I normally acknowledge in my life dictionary. Sebab dalam Islam sendiri pun mengharamkan sambutan hari kekasih ni (nak jugak berkasih pada hari tu, hari lain x pulak ye?). Before coming to this Kampung Plymouth, I thought that all English people will celebrate merrily their major festive season. But from what I observed, most of them actually just make believe those celebration. For example Halloween; I thought that every body will be wearing bizarre kind like costumes and go roaming around play trick or treat but what I could actually see on the night of 30th October was an empty sight of neighbourhood, clean, silent and peaceful night as usual. Just 2 or3 youth wearing a simple mask that is annoying enough to get a punch on their face. They don't actually celebrate it as we always seen on tv. It goes the same with their biggest celebration; Christmas. I realised that the atmosphere did slightly changed where almost every house have this small christmas light decoration outside of their house and thats it. Not that gigantic enormously large Christmas trees that you can find when we Malaysians go to Midvalley, KLCC or other major shopping complexes in Msia. Even when I went to Scotland last year,2 days before Christmas, I couldn't find any huge heavily decorated Christmas tree (like in Msia) at the airport whereas it is the international  airport of Scotland. It goes the same way when I landed in Memingen airport in Germany a day after Christmas, Christmas tree was  no where to be seen. What a shame, even the poeple where the celebration actually founded didn't anticipate as much as we Malaysian did. Apa yang saya nampak ialah they did anticipate the mood of shopping for presents and decorations for their houses but they pay less attention to creating a huge such a waste decorations like the Malaysian did.

And now the so popular Valentine's Day, surely most of the youth in Malaysia did celebrate it (maybe I'm wrong) but it is a common scene in big town like KL where the youth are so engrossed with all this Barat celebration more than the Barat do. What I do find interesting about all these celebration when living in the society that do celebrate it like Kampung Plymouth is the SALE. The sale is going crazily exciting every time it comes to major celebration like this. Not only clothing lines, but supermarket and bookstore did give an offer on their goods. This is the time to shop and save the penny. Masa ni lah saya gunakan untuk pergi membeli barang keperluan rumah seperti makanan, barang dapur, buku2 dan alat tulis sbb semua pon ada diskaun walaupon x banyak. Kite raya pon sambut dekat sekolah sbb x cuti..sob sob.

Chocolate strawberry anyone?

I did went to ASDA supermarket yesterday and found many goods not in their usual price and grabbed the opportunity lah, macam sayur dan buah and the most important element when people want to celebrate the day; roses! Unlike Msia where the price of roses sky rocketed to even RM 10 sekuntum, I saw that here, thats not the case.

Sakit Hati Sekejap Sahaja

Assalamualaikum...
I started my day yesterday with a smile because unlike usual schooling days yesterday I don't have any class to attend to ,so it's a total heaven la. Subuh prayer checked then go dead again with the beloved duvet. Woke up at 11 am (good morning), I thought I could be happy for the whole day but something else happened. Something which was tak menyedapkan jiwa lah kiranya. Actually I had a tutor meeting yesterday and I gladly signed in to meet my lovely tutor at 11.20am, then the story began last night. A friend of mine a.k.a my beloved housemate wished to swap tutoring time with me as she wanted to go to Bandar Plymouth to shopping. Then I pon bermurah hati la swap with her which would be at 12.00 noon and we definitely agreed with that before going to sleep last night. Tup tup this morning when I woke up and went to her room at 11.22am already she said that "eh Yah (nama samaran) baru bangun eh? Oh yeah I answered with confidence. " Kite dah pegi jumpa Roisin pagi tadi jd Yah punye still pkol 11.20 la". I said what the tuuut is this girl talking about (in silence la). Geram gile rase nak cekik2 je sampai muntah kuey tiow budak tu tp x sempat dah because I was already late. Dengan sepantas jet I ran upstair gosok gigi everything and simbah2 air kat badan ckit terus chow berjoging ke International Department punye building. Punye lah saya memohon ampun maaf from my lecturer coz she actually doesn't really adore people who's late ( Roisin Ni Mahoin si namanya). Luckily her mood was really fine and the tutoring session went really well. I was so happy meeting her coz she is a very nice person. I can say that I adore her not only for her kindness but her intelligence and hardworking demeanor. And guest what she praised me la yesterday saying that I did well in my first term and told me to keep the good grade..hiiiiihiih, I'm so happy inside. Never thought a Caucasian would praise this not really clever Malay girl. It took about 20 minutes talking about every aspects from academic to social life and how I'm settling in, in the UK. It's a good therapy actually to talk to people about how our life's progressing as it could lesson our emotional burden and release all the stress that we caved in ourself.

Miraculously after the meeting I felt my mind is lighter and my mood is merrier then knowing that my friend cheat on me just now. Maybe the good tutoring had killed all my anger and it's a good thing not to keep anger for long.   Before heading home I stopped at the library to returns several books that I borrowed for the past two months and I wanted to renew my library card as well as I lost it somewhere in my room but unfortunately the auntie there doesn't know how to operate the machine as it is not her job. Despite feeling pissed with her, I felt happy and forgive her anyway as the God actually has given me such a good thing over a bad thing happened to me earlier. I felt blessed and happily walked home. And there's something I wanna share; everyday when I walked to and back from class, I will walk across this building and every time I see the name of the building I will giggle alone bcoz for me the name is quite funny.

The building where all students taking drama have their class.
Bila dengar perkataan Tutu tu rase geli hati aje.The building is quite nice with oldies design, but the bicycle there memang mencacatkan pemandangan la. Sape punye basikal la yang tertinggal tu agaknyer sebab dah berminggu basikal tu bermastautin kat situ. Haisshh

Kat bawah ni pulak bangunan yang jugak saya lalu setiap hari samada pergi dan balik kelas. Chaplaincy namenyer. It is where students assemble when they have religious gathering what so ever and not restricted to the locals only. It can also be used for any religions like Islam and many other. The best thing about this place is: I got  FREE tea set which means cawan piring free kat sini. They just put whole bunch of the tea cup in a big box and any people can just go and grab that thing without having to pay a penny best x? hhiihii and what I did was go there with muka x malu and pick those cawan piring and ran back home...memang x patut.

Clear Day

Assalamualaikum...
A week of February had gone. I'm not sure whether we are still in winter season or the Spring is already approaching. But one thing for sure is the weather is kinda like change a little. The previous pouring rain has decrease a little and the chilly weather has gotten a little bit warmer now. But some obvious thing has occurred lately; which is the wind. These 3-4 days, winds has conquered this place. It's been a windy day for us here. The thing is, the temperature has gone warmer by little but the wind has made it even colder I guess. I don't dare to walk around the village after finishing class because of the wind. Sometimes it can be a very strong wind that I feel like some kinda storm is coming but luckily it hasn't. Wlaopon berangin kuat sekarang ni tp masih lg sempat mengerjakan pekerjaan yg perlu spt went shopping for groceries at ASDA supermarket and went out to city on weekends. Semangat keluar berjalan x patah sbbnya if I stayed in the house all week long then it would be very boring. Dah la kampung Pelajar ni kecik, Uni kitorang pon extra kecik memanglah mati kutu duduk kat rumah saje2 x buat ape2.

The sky is clear now ( Sorry for the dirty window..hehe)
Last weekend I went to the city center out of the blue. I just felt like walking around rather than hibernating at home doing nothing except for skyping my sisters back in my hometown. Then on the way there sempat la saya menyinggahkan diri kat carboot sale nak cuci mata tengok ade ape2 barang yg menarik tak. The most important thing is you kena pandai pilih dan pandai berlakon dengan all the sellers there. Diorang ni sebenarnye bukan full time seller. They just went there to sell their unwanted stuff and they're doing it on daily basis. Masing2 ada pekerjaan tetap cuma nak menghabiskan masa lapang. If we want something, kene berlakon yang kite x minat sangat nak beli barang tu,nnt penjual tu kasi murah sikit. Hehehe. Kalao muka kita nampak sangat excited and really want that thing the seller won't give u any discount coz they know u would want to buy it even it is a bit expensive.

That day I found something that I've been looking for; a belt. Luckily for me, I got it for a very dirt cheap price. It's only 50p. 50 sen la gamaknya tp kalau di convert ke ringgit Malaysia jd RM 2.50 la, tp still murah kan?
Inilah rupanya benda itu...
The belt is very mint condition
Tengok punye tengok ada la jenama jugak bendenya tu. Dorothy Perkins lagi. Tpx taulah itu punye ori ke tak? Tp x kesah lah sebab tengok dr barangnye berkualiti. Alhamdulillah dapat barang murah dan elok.

Dorothy Perkins?

Some of the things I manage to grab at Jualan Bonet Kereta
The trees are still bare.

Armada namanya. Kat luar agakgempak tp bila masuk kat dalam agak lafrust hati bila cuma ada satu kedai shj yg jual baju..kwang kwang kwan, pastu ada la 2 buah hypermarket yang macam Pacific rupe dia lepas tu dah parking lot. Heeheh tu ajelah yang boleh dibuat kat sini tp saya bersyukur sbb x banyak shopping complex yg gempak2 jd x banyak la duit melayang ye..
